ive just been given an 2007 eurovox max box and its still in its packaging and wondering if any one can help me get it updated as i think it will need doing so,, any help would be great thanks john,, ive got the null lead for it i dont think i need anything else except the files but i dont know which ones i need

you have to make sure what box it is first .. if it is a red box then just download the red box file its in the eurovox folder then go into maxv red and blue files and pick the red one
yeh i got that now,,so ive loaded the file up and can u give me a simple step by step of how to use it please,, i think i have to doenload then save,,,but then wht?
right haven`t done a eurovox in a while but download the file to your computer and save it ... then open the loader and connect the box to the pc make sure all other leads are dissconnected from box and turn box on standby and then hit download in the loader and it should start if not post back
i got it off ebay for like 1.50 n free delivery bargain init(2 Metre 9 Pin RS232 Null Modem Cable) kk i will do that,, ill let you know if it dont work(meaning if i done it wrong lol)
well hopefully its the right lead cos they used to just put an rs232 lead in but think now they put the null modem in .. let us know how ya get on
got on badly to be honest,,, i updated like so in the guide and now for some reason it wont come out of standby and i have 4 lines(dashes) on screen,,, my pc cant detect it now, i updated with 30/11/2008 file, and now ive lookd up i have to try a jtag to have any success with it? can u help me out please
Sounds like a bad flash are you sure you picked the red firmware. You do not need to jtag it. Pull the plug on the back of the box, hit download on the loader and plug the box back in. If that is not successful after a few attempts, try it again except press the reset button on the main board, (you will need to open it to do this). The more important thing that you should have checked was it a clone or genuine box? At this stage now almost all reds will be a clone unless you bought a second hand genuine box. If you flash a clone with genuine firmware then you will have to jtag it.
yeh its a original box and yeh i got the right firmware aswell,ive just tried what you said this morn about 20 times with the power lead and about ten times with the reset button,,my pc still aint findin the box,, so i guess jtag is only way to go,, its still on the 4 dashes and wont come from standby,,ive checked all internal parts and they seem ok, so i dunno,, ive ordered jtag for the box, when i recieve it will it have instructions??? if not you think you could pm me the how to please? when i got the box i turned it on and it did come on at first and did work just after the udate it wudnt turn back on
doesnt matter now thanks anyways got jtag and successfuly fixed it working like a charm on new software,,, 18 april 2008 is newest isnt it?
The last red firmware was the one you used above 30/11/08. But if its a clone you need to use pre April firmware going from memory. Any red firmware excluding the latest firmware will not auto update the codes and you will have to manually enter them. Unfortunately we cannot help out with codes and how to insert them here.
