had this problem myself, its your tv cable from your wall to your max,if that doesnt fix it you have a loose connection somewhere, nothing to do with box or firmware.

Not much help I'm afraid celtic7, but when it say's "No Signal" it does mean exactly that, and seeing that your other EV is fine on the same feed, then it looks like a faulty tuner, and it's on the way out.

Have you tried it with the Signal Booster option ON in TV Settings, and what is the signal level, is it fluctuating or what, steady around the 80 - 81% mark is about right, but try the Signal Booster and see if it makes any difference.

I had the same problem with my eurovox. I fixed mine by altering the frequency of any affected channels. To do this you need to find out what frequency the bad channel is on, press info twice and it will be displayed on the top of the screen. Now go into Menu, Installation, User Installation (enter pin). Now scroll down to the affected frequency e.g. 178.000 and press the green button (ch. edit), press the blue button (modify), scroll down to the frequency and change 178.000 to 178.250. Press ok to save changes. Press exit. Now, with the same frequency highlighted, press ok and then press the blue button (manual scan). This will rescan on the new frequency and should bring your channels back with good signal quality. If it doesn't work first time try changing the frequency to e.g 177.750. you can tell if the signal is good by watching the green bar while in User Installation, a constant bar without fluctuations should mean no break up of the channel.

    Good Luck, Red 72.

If your other box is working fine then I guess this rules out a problem with the cable and signal, As Malci says it could be a problem with the tuner.

hi malci the signal level is steady at 82 to 84 how do i try the signal booster.THANKS

That level is more than enough 84% is a bit high actually!! - But to try the Signal Booster option, press menu and go across to TV Settings OK and it is there at the bottom <> arrow key to turn On or Off - but it seems as though the tuner is faulty to me. Have you tried a Factory Default and fresh Powerscan, won't do any harm to give it a go.
