Hi there Just looking for a little bit of advice please. I recently changed from a Eurovox Max box to an Eurovox EX5100 PVR, as the sound on the Max box went. I tried tuning in the channels on the new box today and even though all the channels were found and with strong signals, everytime I try to look at a channel it says 'scrambled channel'. I'm assuming that this means I need to put some software into the box? I've been looking at threads on this forum and came across this one http://forums.afterdawn.com/t.cfm/f-59/eurovox_flashing_tutorial-674371/ but to be honest I'm not too sure which software I should be using. I saw a 5100 PVR (Ireland) software on this link, so I'm thinking its that one but as I'm not 100% sure I just thought I'd ask for some advice from people in the know!! As I don't want to damage the box with something thats completely unsuitable.. if thats possible?! Sorry I'm completely clueless when it comes to these things. I'm on chorus cable in Limerick, Ireland and any help at all would be very much appreciated. Don't want to miss the footie at the weekend.. Thanks in advance Caroline
hi there, unless someone else has already sorted it out for you then you need to download a toolbar call bigmaq, from this toolbar you will be able to download the latest firmware updates straight to the box, make sure you choose the right firmware from the toolbar. (If you have the right cable). My sister recently got a new box and after a scan all her channels said scramled, but after i updated the firmware it was all up and working fine. Hope this helps
yes the link you have will provide you with the right software and the guide is there also for flashing, you need the N2 fix for Ireland in the link and follow the guide for flashing, now I do know from others they are shutting off the sports/movies in Chorus land and moving them onto N3, which will mean the box wont display them, but flash the box as per the guide and using the software indicated in the link
