hi guys, first of all many thanks to all here helping and to those wonderful coders for the latest eurovox fixes. now im going to try to give something back.

I have accepted that my max v may never have a fix for it so im prepared to experiment with it a bit (to the best of my ability).

approximately a year ago someone started a thread stating that he had used a max v tsop on a eurovox max red thus making it a max v. i also tried this and it worked thus giving me a max red box taking all the relevant firmwares for a max v. the only issue this had was that the buttons on the unit itself (ch+/- and vol+/-) did some random features. (i.e) ch+ menu vol + and info ; but the remote worked perfectly.

why do i rant on you say ? well, if i had a tsop for the ex5000 pvr im going to see what happens if i put it on a max v and flash with the latest firmware. i am aware that there are some serious hardware issues (lack of hardware and certain circuitry) the pvr acts nearly identical to the max v without a hdd. so on with the experiment!

it may be a temp fix till another solution arrives and i dont care about bricking a box that has no use anyway!

    any thoughts or suggestions ?

Well after reading this and remembering i did the same with the red box firmware on a max v ages ago, I had a go.

The 5000pvr TSOP flashed nicley, Box is still going, the usual 4 lines ---- and the standby light is on,

but when i try to load the Nagra 2 fix software it just keeps failing

I'm sure i've done it all correct, so i doubt it will work.

    Just letting you know
