i recently got need for speed most wanted, and i go to install it, it tries to install directx with the game, thats ok. so i say yes, whatever. i allready have that directx, it should just skip it. but it doesent, and the windows file protection unit comes up and says it doesent trust the file, on directx. which is weird because its a microsoft product. should i try to find a way to turn off windows file protection? or am i doing something wrong

that was the most confusing reply ever but i found out that for some reason one of the files in my windows registry had been tampered with and i have solved the issue
Just out of interest, wot waz wrong with the windows registry? because i'm having the same problem with my game (NFS Most Wanted) And another thing, did u purchase Need For Speed Most Wanted? or just download it.
