I've spent the last two days searching these forums, trying to find an answer to this, and haven't had any luck. I'm a bit of a newbie, so please bear with me.

I want to put Simpsons episodes I downloaded on DVDs. They are AVI XviD type files. I can convert them successfully to VOBs using VSO and other programs but the picture always lags a little behind the soundtrack. On my computer, these movies play beautifully, so something is obviously happening in my conversion process (I've downloaded and tried so many different programs and the same thing keeps happening).

Please please, I've killed so much time (and wasted DVD-Rs) trying to do this. Someone please help me out.

lol, i have had this problem AND NO_ONE HELPED ME!!!!!!!

    so, ill help you

what u need to do is uninstall ALL your codecs - codec packs, the lot.

then - uninstall all your encoding programs

then - do a registry scan

    then - do a spyware/adware/virus scan

    then - do a defrag

    then - restart your computer

    then - goto www.free-codecs.com

then - download 2 or three codec packs, xp codec pack - the codecs - codecs6026 - defiler pak - matroska pack full

    then - reboot

    then - install encoding program

    then - encode

    then - perfect

this may be overkill - but it worked :D
