Did u get a HDD up grade? IF so your the HDD is not locked. You need to have it lock if you want to boot with the xbox bois and boot to the M$ dash. Theres a program called ConigMajic that can lock your HDD for you. If you got slayers aotu installer it's in there. If not Download it and burn the iso file on to a CD and boot from it with your chip on.

Are you getting an error # in the upper left corner?

Error 11 is a DVD drive error. Make sure it's plugged in to both the DVD drive and motherboard. Even unplug it and plug it back in.

Well, if you used slayers or some other method, it is most likely that your original dashboard is renamed to something other than msdash.xbe and your evox is in fact named msdash.xbe. What you need to do is find the old MSDashboard, rename evoxdashboard to evoxdash.xbe and the old ms dash to msdash.xbe
On a side note here, i forgot which one is the original msdash, it could be msdashboard.xbe or msdash.xbe, you should try both and see if it works out. Peace.

The easiest way is using one of the Auto Installers like Team Xaviers or SLayers

You mean sending you an original ms dashboard ? That would be kind of illegal thing to do ;) Anyways, If you renamed your dash it should be fine, however I was wrong in my previous post, the original microsoft dashboard should be named "xboxdash.xbe" and the evox shuld be "evoxdash.xbe". If your BIOS is new enough (and it should be) then it shuld have no problem with this setup, even if the modchip is turned off. Hope this helps
If you look hard enough on IRC, you'll find even older ms dashboards ;)
