Hello, As the title suggests, tried running a slayer from CD (Lord FFs) and just keep getting error 13, service call required. I've read that error 13 is a problem with my dash, which would be logical as I'm installing a new HD. I've read posts on installing a new HD, and from what I gathered backing up C and E is all I needed to do. I then placed a new HD into the Xbox, and was trying to run the slayer. My question is, have I done all I need to do or should I have done more. I was hoping my problem was just down to my xbox's inability to read CD's (even though there is a large dummy file on there). I've burnt the CD exactly as instructed. It reads the CD for a few seconds (about 10) then comes up with the error. Thanks Daint
If you used a CD-R then I would have to agree with you. It MOST likely is due to the fact that the xbox drives have a hard time reading CD-Rs. Try a CD-RW or a dvd if you can.
