EX5100 PVR keeps rebooting

    I have a friend whose ex5100 pvr box just keeps rebooting itself, there is no HD installed. All wires and cables are fine. Does anyone know what could be wrong with it or anything that will need to be checked inside?

    i had same issue with mine.once i installed the hd it was ok.
    although it wasnt a constant problem,just now and then.
    my friends one the same

    so if the hd is installed it should work ok?

    possibly,
    before i put the hd into mine it would sometimes turn off by itself,
    and id have to wait 30 secs or so before it would go back on,
    have the hd in it now and its works great.
    so hopefully yours isnt faulty,
