Anyone got any advice on compatible external Hard Drives for this box. I can get it to detect a USB Pen drive & Card Reader with 16gb SD Card, & can record to both. However, I have tried connecting a 250gb Freecom 2.5" External drive and a 250gb powered 3.5" External Dives but they are not detected by the box. Someone suggested making sure they are formatted to FAT32 and not NFST, but still no joy.
I had the same problem with my 500gb WD ext hard drive. It also was already preformatted with FAT32 and the EX7000 couldn't see it. The strange thing is tho that I reformatted the hard drive again with FAT32 thus overwriting the original FAT32. To my delight it was instantly fixed after doing this. This worked for me. That probably doesn't help you much if at all but just thought I'd share my experience since I had a simular problem of which I managed to resolve.
