excessive hum..

    hi guys
    im having alot of hum from mmy numark tt 200 turntablew into my onyko tx-8255 reciever.i
    have a groud wire between both units but still theres hum..any suggestions would be app-
    reciated..

    Well you know the answer...
    Humms come from improper grounding. Try disconnecting the turn table and the ground to be methodical. I am guessing that will stop the humm. You need to figure it out since I can't see what is going on. I will suggest grounding the turntable properly not grounding it to the amp which is not a proper ground.

    the problem was the tone arm..it was defective so i had it replaced now no problem thanks.
