Hi Afterdawn users. I was wondering if there's a good simple program out there that lets you just convert DVDs to XviD / DivX - With the Menus!! Because I'm so tired of spending so much money on DVDs then my sons just leave them out on the side which causes them to scratch. I don't mind if I have to pay for the program or not. But I would prefer if it was a trial or a completely free program!! And remember, I need the Menus!! Or if u kno of another video format which is as good as XviD / DivX please let me kno. I just need them to be good enough for a 32" HDTV
For DivX menus you need 'Tmpgenc DVD Author 3' or 4 or 'Divx Author'. The menus only function on a DivX Ultra certified player. Neither is free, but they have a trial period. I don't have an Ultra certified machine - so can offer no opinion on how well they work.
