I have NeroVision Express 2, I had it before I reformated and I could put 3 movie "clips" to make a video DVD. I had aquired each around 700MB, and could fit on one dvd and put in songs etc... on my menus. This all could fit on a single layer 4.7GB disc with a little space left over. But now after I reformated the same project takes up twice as much space, over 8.3GB of space. I use the same clips as before. It is still the worse quality as before. It seems that the .avi format takes up more space than the .mpeg format. But I used the .avi before and it didnt take up that much space. Do you know why it is taking up so much space, even at the worse quality. I unistalled the it and reinstalled it again, with no luck.( So I can barley put on 1GB of information before it is full)
Also when I would put in a slideshow on my DVD's the quality of the pictures always looked bad. Even if I had it in good quality, it looked kind of smeared I guess you could almost say.
Peppers, you may have to alter the settings, after loading your movie file, click on 'more' at the bottom, then 'video options'. Then click on the 'DVD video' tab. There are quality settings there that you can adjust. High quality, standard play or long play. This will alter how much space your dvd needs for conversion. also you need to check that you have installed the correct codecs. After a re-install I only install the AC3 filter and Koepi's codec pack, both available from Afterdawn. These 2 let me convert and play everything without any conflicts.
I have adjusted it so it is the worst quality but it's still takes up 4 times the amount of space. Is there any other options? Can you go into more detail about what you were saying about the other option. Thanks
But why does it take up so much space now? If I used the same program before and it didn't cause this amount of space needed, why does it now? I mean it use to take up 4GB and now it is double that, there has to be a reason. Is there a nero patch for this program or something?
