Hi I was searching though all these posts and was unable to find the answer to my question. Truth is i searched through about 5 pages.

I was wondering if there's any way to extract a bin/cue image directly to PC instead of having to burn. any assistance is greatly appreciated.

    TIA,
    Lex

    Use virtual drives.
You can create them with daemon tools, alcohol 120%, Nero and so on...
IsoBuster can also be used if you just want to extract the files from the image to your hard drive.

Well , I did create a virtual drive . After that I extract the BIN-file and the CUE-file(I think it worked beceause he was unpacking) .Then i've install the game(got a icon), but when I now try to open the game(dubbelklick the icon) he said: insert disc ??
I'm out of options, please help .
    Thanks anyway

The file you installed is checking for ID that's why it's asking you to insert the disc in the drive due to copy protection. To me it sounds like you installed a downloaded game (or something) and without a 'crack' (something that I shouldn't be discussing here) you won't be able to run the game.

    hi ,
first of all thanks for the reply.
I found the special file called 'crack'
Now I have another problem .
If I start the game ,it says :Loading error[2]:Unable to initialise Direct Draw . It is possible that hardware acceleration is turned off .
Where can I turned it on ??And what does it mean .
    thanks in front

On your windows desktop click on START, then click on RUN then type in DXDIAG. This will bring up the Direct X diagnostic tool, from there select the Display tab to see if hardware acceleration is enabled, if not Enable it.

You can use CDMage, a free tool to extract bin& cue files. Google up CDMage or go to Afterdawn.com

First to Applecorp: It was turned on (thanks anyway)
Then to Shoey :I already extracted the game so why do I need CDmage ?
    Thanks for the fast reaction

I extracted with Alcohol120% , it's also free . Do you think that, if I extracted with CDmage,I don't have this problem that I'm having now ??

Alcohol 120 isn't free unless you own a pirated version? What pc\audio bin& cue file(s) are you attempting to mount?

It is a game called American qonquest .
After extraction there ara 2 files :
FLT-acon.BIN and FLT-acon.CUE .The problem is that the game is too big for my CD-R.The size of the first is 814.629.312and the second 74 . I only got CD-R 700.That's why I have to write it to my HD .

Whoa whoa whoa lets watch the pirate chat oki? :)

donic: if your problem is a cdcheck, look closely at the cd. If your problem is that directdraw thing... are you runing a PreDirectX8 card? (i.e., GeForce4MX or older)

Hi,I don't think it's a cdcheck.I usa a geforce fx5600(256MB).I tried the game on a other computer and it was OK .We looked at DXDIAG(Applecorp 11april)and there was a diference .With dirextX functions the third (surfaceaccelaration ? is not availebel on my computer. On the other computer it was activated . That could be a raison . I don't now what it means and I also do not now how I can activate it .
    Any suggestions ??
    Thanks
