Hi I did a really really stupid noob mistake Flashed my friends FW and accidently used my key and could not recover the orig.bin. However I have read that you can desolder a chip and this contains the key I need to solve it. I found someone on ebay doing it but can't find any info on how to do it myself. Does anyone know of a guide they can point me to or if this is even possible. Many thanks
Im guessing that you posted this thread in the wrong section. If you do not have the orig.bin file, and flashed the drive with the fw file that had your drive key on it, then your out of luck, unless if you can recover the orig.bin. Did you actually read the original firmware off of the drive before writing to it?
