I downloaded shrink and decryptor, followed all the instructions given by scuba pete. I do have fat32 so i adjusted accordingly. at the end of the copying process i get a mess "failed to write file vts-01-4.VOB there is not enough space on disc" also when i go to the decryptor a mess "invalid or unsupported image file format" appears and I cant go any further. so far i havent been able to copy anything. What am i doing wrong? Please help
What exactly does that mean? To use ISO Disc Image files on a FAT 32 drive, they need to be smaller than 4GB (4096MB) In DVD Shrink that means that you need to set a Disc Target size of 4090MB or less. That's if you are using Deep Analysis. Without Deep Analysis you would probably want to use a Target size of about 4050MB to account for any mis-calculation of size. Best option - Use Xp/2000 with NTFS. Another option - AutoShrinkISO works with DVD Shrink and DVD Decrypter making split ISO files that fit on FAT 32 drives. Then you don't have to adjust the Target size so low. http://www.mrbass.org/dvdshrink/autoshrinkiso/
Sorry, I did have it at 4090MB while having the problem. you said best option is xp2000 with ntfs. I have xp2000,how do i change it to ntfs?
Example: to convert drive C: Click Start - Run and type. Convert C: /FS:NTFS Before you make the conversion to NTFS. It is a good idea to both defragment the drive and run a error check fixing both file system errors and recovery of bad sectors. Right click on your drive and select Properties and these options are on the Tools tab.
