fallout 3 - unknown reason for crashing

    I purchased a copy of fallout 3 and I've installed it, but whenever I select play from the launcher, the screen flashes black a few times and then it crashes. The box that asks if you want to report it also pops up. I would be really grateful if someone could at least help me to understand what the problem is.

    My friend had the same problem until he updated his drivers.
