is anybody having a problem with fantastic 4 i tried to back it up but it is freezing i am using jvc dvd + and booktyping to dvd-rom
when you use them did you use dvd+ and booktype them i just learned it is what i should do so my home unit will play them
I backed my copy up easily with CloneDVD 2 & AnyDVD. Piece of Cake!Movie only backed up with Perfect results. Took about 30 minutes all together, Start to Finish. Very HIGH QUALITY playback results too!
@timberlou Where is your problem happening? During ripping or burning? Which program are you using? Nothing special on this disc - I used anydvd and clone
what everyone here seems to have overlooked is the fact that the media timberlou used, and i quote, is far from being "good" any way u flip it~ JVC DVD+R 4.7GB WFKA11..211 8x (GOOD LORD, i'm not even going to start with THIS media ID code, most people have never even seen this before i can imagine, BUT, i have~ this is terrible quality stuff...i will not say anything else...it's simply horrific, worse than CMC MAG for those in the "know") i am only "assuming" that you are using the 8x speed timberlou, if you are using the 4x, than more than likely it will be made by Prodisc, while "better," it's still not considered "good quality" i would suggest changing you media and trying again, you obviously have SOME sort of handle on the whole burning process if you say you can already booktype to dvd-rom...this one i am going to say is a "media issue", not burning related (freezing that you stated you are experiencing) good luck, "great media" is in my sig. if you want some suggestions... docTY~
Hey docTY! Tks for the input. Now that I re read the post I guess they are talking about playback and not the 'backup' process. So yep you are again right on the $ !!
hiya binkie, how are things girl? happy holidays to you and yours...God Bless and burn on baby..burn on!! docTY~
thanks to all for the help the problem is in the playback it's freezing the jvc are the worst hey docty i am using dvd decrypter ans shrink i also have 1 click, but i do not know how to booktype it there is no setting's button docty, when you talk about media how do i know what is the best if i order on line how do i know if it is made in japan or tawin? again thanks for all the help from everybody
@timberlou What kind of drive do you have, does it support bitsetting/booktyping. If you are having problems in playback then look to your media, and get some better quality disks. As suggested try Sony, Fuji, Maxell or Verbatim which are all retail and always on sale. Taiyo Yuden are available on line from http://www.supermediastore.com http://www.rima.com http://www.meritline.com http://www.newegg.com Make sure the firmware on that burner is up to date and try burning at 4x if you are using subpar media.
arniebear, i am using fuji made in taiwan not japan, does that matter? i am burning with a liteon burner, where do i go to see if i can update the firmware? thanks
Go here to check out your Lite-on firmware and if you have not dl the Lite-on Utility which will allow you to booktype with your burner. http://www.liteonit.com/ODD/English/e_downloads/e_firmware_dvd rw.asp Use the Utility after you insert your disk and booktype it and then open 1click and it should work.
Whichever program you prefer, it is all personal preference in what you like. Just remember to use the Lite-on utility to booktype before you start your program up.
Download the Lite-on Utility here you will have to use it and it will booktype http://www.liteonit.com/ODD/English/e_downloads/e_utility.asp
arnie i did the update from the site you sent me, do i need to do anything eles or does it do it automatically? thanks
