I've been using AVI2DVD to convert my 700mb movie files to ISO's, then burning them to DVD's and watching them on my player. So far, I have been very impressed with the quaity, except it takes Avi2dvd about 5 hours per movie using hte HCenc codec, under the "best" setting. Is there another program I could use that wouldn't take this long, that would produce similar results? Thanks in advance.

WinAVI is a program I can recommend, I've used it for years, it's easy to use which is a bonus. It normally takes about 45 minutes to convert a very large file.

The only time it failed I used vso's DivXtoDVD (there is a free version available on their site if you look hard enough) which while being lot slower (it takes 60 - 75 minutes) works perfectly.

I've just started using DivxToDVD instead of AVI2DVD. It'll do the the job in 3/4 the time. The shareware version adds an insignificant watermark to the first 5 minutes of the movie. AVI2DVD was fine until I ran into and AVI the wouldn't co-operate.
