It's all about horsepower. My amd 64 3800 single core will convert a dvd in 3.5 to 4.0 hours Using a intel dualcore 6300 does the conversion in 2.5 to 3.0 hours. And a phenom 9750 quad will convert in 1.15 to 1.5 hours. All my conversions are using the 2-pass mode and fairuse wizard lite and the h264 codec. You get similar times with the divx codec. You can get faster times using a single-pass mode but the quality will suffer.
