Fastest encoder

    Im currently using dvdSanta and its great! The only drawback is that it takes sooo long for me to encode my .avi files into applicable dvd-burnable content (2-2 1/2 hrs.). Is there a faster way to encode these files or does the speed drastically affect the end product? If not, whats the best encoder with the best speed to quality ratio?

    Don't know about fastest, but VSO DivxToDVD should be faster, plus it's free!

    Again I don't know about being the fastest, but if your going to spend cash CCE Basic is extremely good quality, $58. TMPGEnc is very good quality but I find very very slow.
