In the command prompt window, type: convert drive_letter: /fs:ntfs

For example, typing convert D: /fs:ntfs

A volume label is just a name you can give to the drive. You can leave it blank if you wish by pressing enter.

This is probably a dumb question but did you format the drive or is this a new drive?
