I have recently bought a DS with a games bundle and it works fine with most games except for Brain Training and on the Pictochat where the screen does not display the writing as it is written on, it picks up some of the parts of the letters, but not all.

I have recalibrated the screen and checked it and if it responds to all parts of the screen when tapped just not writing strokes. I was wondering if there is a fix for this?

Yes, send it in for repair. If you have dead spots there's almost nothing you can do about it except replace the touch screen.
