    hello out there,

i've been in and out of these forums and i love them.

anways.. i got a friend that's thinking of getting an e-machine.
    1600mhz fsb
    200gb internal hd
    1 gig of ram
    dvdr-/+DL
    media center pc edition
    7 in 1 card reader
not sure what the video card is.
price i think is like $700
that's the basic rundown on the specs on this. they look good on the specs, but i havent heard good things on the e-machines. i actually havent heard much on them. just wanted to run this by aD members. you guys have been good before.
    again.. any feedback is good.

    thanx in advance

    thanx for the feedback.
you have two hds in that one.
apparantly we were told by the sales rep. *best buy.. that they arent upgradeable or at least not easy to. i rolled my eyes at him.. i figured it would be the same as upgrading any pc. i have a mac myself.. as you can see by my sig.
    ok.. thanx for your feedback.

My emachine had a extra slot for another HD a I upgraded the ram from 512 to 1gb and can upgrade to 2gb if I wanted, I also added the graphics card.

the sales rep is full of it plus if anything breaks on it you can give a call to emachine's tech support and they will fix and repir anything for free up to a year.

I also have an E-Machine. First thing I did when I got home was open the case. I threw another 512 stick and a 120 gig HD in it. I also added another case fan. Thing has not let me down yet.

E-machine are ok for a pre-built machine as is Dell

really you get what you pay for so it depends on your budget

i have 1800 bucks in my machine plus a 750 buck montior and love it

you might check with a local PC shop and see what they can built you one for before you buy a pre-built.

if your just surfing the web and doing simply stuff then you will probably be fine with the e-machine BUT if your gaming alot you will probably want something better or upgrade the video card to the best one you can get for the money you have to spend. good luck

My emachine was (Im guessing) about $500, so it has surpassed expectations.

But in a few months Im gonna build my own...with -Nehpilims- help

So -Neph- you read this make sure we get plenty of MODELO ready to drink up.
