Where did this update come from? it is not on their home page: http://sourceforge.net/projects/ffdshow/
ffdshow is opensource. Anyone can checkout the source from the CVS, make a compile, package and release it. Sounds like a gcc compile. Checkout the ffdshow thread over at doom9 as there is a decent chance whoever compiled it posted there. If you want a more official compile: http://ffdshow.sourceforge.net/tikiwiki/tiki-index.php?page=Getting+ffdshow Doesn't make that much difference who compiled it though. Milan from recollection uses gcc for libavcodec and libmplayer and ICL8 for the rest.
