field order on DV from a camcorder

    Hi all,
    I am getting into DV capture in a big way to produce home movies onto DVDs and I have this question:
    Is DV capture from a camcorder (GS-120, panasonic) lower field first or upper field first?
    This info is not in my owners manual nor do they mention that the signal is interlaced or progressive.
    I need this info as I edit my footage in Vegas 4 and these options are in the program as options and I would like to know what to set for best quality outputs.
