Ok, my dilema is when i use dvd shrink to back up a dvd it works fine and puts all the files in a video_ts folder, but then when i use recordnow-dx to burn to disc, it burns it as a video_ts folder with the files in it and wont play as a movie when inserted into drive with only the folder appearing. The type of burner is a ricoh brand. Please please help me as i am really ready to blow the thing up..
Here is what I would do. 1. Use Shrink to make an .iso image file and then compress this file. 2. Use DVDDecrypter ( Free) to burn said image file automatically thru Shrink. Another method which is the same 1. Use DVDDecrypter in .iso mode>click read A .iso file will be put on your HD 2. Use Shrink to find said file and compress the .iso image file 3. If set up properly DVDDecrypter will now burn the image to DVD automatically thru Shrink There are guides that will show you how to do this on this forum and other forums.
Hmmm, that's strange! You should just be able to add your video files and the video_ts and audio_ts folders to the data disc job and create as normal. But I have heard this only works with certain newer versions of RecordNow. Personally I'd stick to using Nero to burn the file automatically, or use if you want to use freeware, output the file as a ISO in Shrink and burn the iso with DVD Decyprter. Hope this Helps.
I have captured a movie that was recorded on my DirectTV DVR. I am using ATI AIW 8500 card. I used recomended capture presets that came from a capture guide on another site. The file is in a folder on my dedicated HD for video. I can open it and play it, it looks pretty good!! What do I have to do to be able to burn it to a DVD? I tried to use TMPGEnc DVD Author but the progam said that the file was too large to burn to a DVD.
It has to be a standalone VIDEO_TS folder (not a subfolder thereof) inorder to burn a playable movie when using RecordNow DX. cheezzzz
