Have downloaded a prog but it has arrived as a daa file. Windows does not like it nor does Nero. It was suggested I should downlaod and use Poweriso - have downloaded but am still totally confused !!!!
Can anyone give me a Noddy's guide as to how I can put this into a format that XP will like. It is the pre-release beta of Office 2007 if that helps.
    Cheers

Yep, you need poweriso >>> http://filext.com/detaillist.php?extdetail=daa&Search=Search

From what I can tell, install and run poweriso, click the mount button at the top, point it to your .daa file.

This should give you a virtual drive in my computer which you can then treat as a cd, ie run it to install software.

    Hope it helps.

Thanks for the reply, I feel a bit daft now, I have been using DAEMON Tools for a long time now and did not realise poweriso worked more or less in the same way.

The virtual drive comes up just the same and away we go

    thanks, worked a treat

    all the best

Okay; perhaps you can assist me as well. My .daa powerISO image is split into two .daa files. Even though they are one image. How on earth do I get it to load both as the one image. I know that they are both images of each layer on the disc. Which is frustrating me to no end.

I even *tried* for the sake of humor, loading them as two seperate images, and the setup crashes. Can you tell me how to load part one and two (Assumably the two layers of the original disc) to load as one dual layer disc?

I am so completely lost here. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Nvm; I figured it out this morning, in case anyone else comes across this same problem, and can't figure it out; here is the solution.

Load PowerISO, load part 1 of the image file, then let it autorun, then go back to PowerISO, select the option to load a different image instead of the one you have, choose part 2. It will load both images as the one dual layer disc, correctly.

I hope that someone else can use this too.
