This one is driving me nuts. I've got an AVI file that contain 2 episodes of an old TV show. I want to split the episodes into two separate files. The total file size is 74.3MB (it's pretty low quality copy, the show's been out of production for years). I've used a number of programs (most recently Blaze Media Pro) to separate the files, but every time I do, the outputted files have sizes of around 153MB each! I know that's not a big size, but how did I go from 74.3 to 153 (x2) without adding any content? I've tried matching the audio and video codec settings and output file types to the original but no luck. Any suggestions? How can I split this file into two without bloating the resulting file sizes? Any help would be greatly, greatly appreciated. e
Take a look at this guide. This will explain how to split videos. http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/cut_avi_with_virtualdub.cfm
Just did a test run with VirtualDub and it looks like it'll work exactly like I needed. Thanks a million! You may have just saved my sanity.
