Don't no if I place this is the right area, anyways....

What if you have a .avi that you used DVD Decrypter, AutoGK, Cinema Craft Encoder SP, then Maestro to make the dvd files for a dvd-r and the files were to large for the dvd-r, what would you do? I've tried using DVDfab, but I only have 1 chapter so It won't let me split to 2 dvds.

    Any Ideas?

Dual layer discs are discs that have 2 layers on them ( on the same side ) and can store up to 8.5 Gb of data. For backup purposes and to play on a stand alone dvd player, dvd+R DL is best. However in order to burn a dl disc, the burner must be capable. When the data goes from layer 0 to layer 1, there is a transition point called the layer break point which needs to be optimized. Imgburn when asked can help you find the best layer break point. Also in order for good playing abilities on a stand alone dvd player imgburn can help "booktype or bittype" certain burners to make the dvd+R DL ( not -R )discs appear to the dvd player as a manufactured disc and help universal playability.

Beats me, I burn DL, so I don't split. Just trying to be helpful.
