Filename Too Big list?

    Is there a thread to a list of games that give the above message? If not, could we please start one?
    I know of these up to now.

    What do u mean file name is too big? Is that the error ur getting? When do u ge tthe error?

    Normally if it's saying that then the filename is over 16 characters. Rename the file and try again. That's been the case for me when I FTP over ROMS to my XBOX.

    I get it when ripping a disk onto the hd, no option to rename.

    Rip the game to ur PC then rename it then FTP to ur XBOX hdd.

    Some games have files internally that are too long.....I think that's what he's trying to say. It's not the title of the game sometimes,it's actual filenames. Which I don't think is a good idea to rename those ones.

    Worst case back it up to DVD-R.

    When ever I've ripped games I haven't seen any files over 16 characters. So it must be internally in the game name.

    Couldn't you use DVD2XBOX to correct this?
