Files not an avi..what should i do? how to make it an avi?

when i did the file thing on gspot, it said that it wasnt an avi file and i try to play on divx n window media but it doesnt work either. is there any software i can download to convert it to an avi? or at least to play it?

well, the end to the file is .avi and i use bittorrent to get this file.

 

see if you can locate a little program called avicodec

run your file through it and it will give you an idea of what the file structure is.Find it at:

You may just need a simple avi 2mpeg converter, but see how you go first.Aconverter can be found at:
