I use Pinnacle Studio 6 to make digital video clips from my VHS so I can send them to friends on the internet. But these files are just too large to email. What settings can I change and still get full size video of good quality. I usually use the mpeg format which is the smallest of all but they are still way too big. There must be better settings to use but I don't know the program well enough so if anyone can help me , I would appreciate it.
    Thanks....LOL

Well, I know nothing about your software, but I can tell you one thing. MPEG is not a wise choice for sending clips over the internet. I'd use a compressed format like Windows Media Video. You could use your windows movie maker and turn your your MPEGS into WMV.

Happy to be of help. Although I don't know much about Pinnacle software, I wouldn't abandon it yet. Maybe you can still use it for other purposes like video editing. I'd only dump it if you only use it to create clips for emails.

Well, I created an image shack account. Then, I uploaded the image in PNG format to avoid large image and longer loading time of the page. This really get everybody here angry. Finally I put the link to the picture in my signature in like this
