I downloaded a movie, and it is 700mb. I then tried to use DVD shrink but it couldnt find the file so i left it. I used Nero 7.7.5.1 to then put it onto a dvd, i used the burning ROM and when i dragged the file accross, it said "one or more files could not be added to compilation" so i used Nero vision to do it, but when it had finished transcoding and sorting out menus it then it was to big to fit on a DVD i tried DVD shrink again but didnt work. Can any1 help cheers. Lankz
Unless the download was a DVD image or in the form of a folder containing DVD format files then DVD Shrink will not look at it.Similarly an AVI file is not acceptable. To create the DVD with Nero, select Nero Vision > Make DVD > DVD Video > Add Video Files. Select the file and proceed to make a menu and burn. Unless the running time of the movie is very long, a 700 MB avi file will fit comfortably on a single layer DVD.
