i would say about half the films i do start to jump and stop start, it only happens nearing the end of the film(10 mins or so) and its ooooo soooo annoying, it happens on all 3 standalone dvd players in the house, 2 cheapos and a sony... any clues... dvd decrypter, dvd2one, nero 6 and clone dvd(sometimes)
Yes, it is a problem with the media you are burning on to. What happens with a cheaper DVD (and some of the better ones), is that the very outer edges of the disc (when the laser burns to the DVD the fastest), it can sometimes record inadequicies. What this means that the outer edges of a disc will have these stop starts as you call them. There are ways to avoid them: - Burn at a slower speed (may not help if u use cheap media) - Use a better DVD disc to burn on to - Decrease the amount of data on the disc to around 4000MB
cheers oriphus, i was half thinking that.... how do you get a disc down to 4000kb, i cant find that option in clone or dvd2one...
Its definitely there - you can set the size of the output no problem. Unfortunately i cant be of more help as i dont have it installed right now...
yes i sussed it, it was right in front of me, duh, matrix revolutions, resized to 4000, burnt on a ritek printable at 2.4x, absolutely perfect, cheers for help, much appre.. would you believe that the most trouble ive had with dvd players is the sony dav sa30, the cheapo players were playing them much better than the sony, its all good now though..
