Final Fantasy 5 help.

Sorry, I had no Idea where this should be posted. As it is a GBA game which I downloaded for my PSP, but that doesnt matter, I was just wondering if, When I assign someone like White Mage and they learn the white ability (but no actual spells) and I then give them the knight job will they continue to learn the white magic spells? (If i give them the WHite abilty whilst being a knight) THanks!
