hello i downloaded a tape from my panasonic camcorder to my laptop and recorded it to a dvd+r disk but when i tried to play it on my daughters dvd player it does not work,i need to finalize it somehow,i tried on my dvdr player under disk management but it wont work,any ideas please? thank you.
If it was authored on the PC as a DVD video, then it is finalized and should play on another player (assuming it can recognize DVD+R media). If it was a file (perhaps an AVI) that was simply written to a DVD as data to be played on a DivX certified player, then even if it was not finalized, the player should accept it. The DVD recorder can only finalize disks that it has recorded.
