Have anyone experience any problems backing up Finding Nemo. (My daughter loves that movie.) So far I've produced 4 coasters. I'm using AnyDvd 5.3.2.1 and Clone DVD2 2.5.4.3.

No problems with this movie - can be done with DVD Shrnk only.

You may have a damaged or bad original.

Can I delete the previews? Because I'm thinking that's where my problem could be.

Did this one ages ago - cannot remember if it tries to install the Interactual DVD player - if so delete Interactual from your system.

Best done using the Re-author function in DVD Shrink - get rid of all the unnecessary extras.

What media are you using? Burn speed? That may be the cause of your coasters. Once ripped if using good media chances of coasters decreases.
What's prob is making them a coaster?

Will they play in your computer at all.. or just not in the stand alone dvd player? if it's the Stand alone maybe it doesn't support the disc format -r or +r that you're using...

Media and Burn Speed matter also.. 2x 4x at most...

When I play it using Media player it freezes the program and I have to turn the computer off. I'm using Linkyo -R at 4x. The original works fine.

I've not had a problem with this movie.

I used DVD Decrypter to rip the contents to my HD then DVD Shrink to re-author (movie only) and burn to DVD.

*moved from DVD-R for advanced users*

That is an old movie .. and certainly isn't an advanced question. It's not the program ... most likey the user. (ie. burning too fast or poor quality media)

Wow, I see somebody's in a foul mood!(flip218). I'm burning at 4x and using Linkyo. I'm gonna use Decrypter and Shrink and see if that will work. I will keep you posted. Nemo is old but it's new to my daughter.

Why cause you posted in the wrong forum and I moved it? Read the forum rules. It says to post in the appropriate forums.

You should have posted in DVD-R newbies or One-Click Transcoding (which is where I moved it because of the programs your using).

And that is a good way to put me in a foul mood .. and trust me you don't want that.

Never heard of Linkyo. You happen to know the media ID for those? You might want to try some Verbatims.

What does that have to do with it? Doesn't make any difference it is still an older movie. This movie can be backed up with DVDXCopy ... and that is saying alot. Seeing as how XCopy cannot get past the newer copy protections.

You were right. It was the media. The media ID was TYG02. And also, I don't know if it means anything but it was trying to install that interactual player on my PC.

I'm shocked that Supermediastore would sell fake media. But it's confirmed, these Linkyo DVD-R are fakes. That explains the low quality.
I used Shrink and copied the movie only at 2x speed and it now plays on 2 of the 3 DVD players I own.
Thanks for the info guys, much appreciated.
