FIREFOX BOOKMARKS DISAPEAR

    hi,

    i have been using firefox and i noticed that every once in a while ALL OF MY BOOKMARKS DISAPEAR CAN ANYONE HELP ME!!!

    Your firefox has probubley crashed. Luckily they keep backups of your bookmarks as I had this happen to me. Go to

    C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\ynim7z35.default\bookmarkbackups

    And that should be were it is.

    Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\ynim7z35.default\bookmarkbackups

    hello i found it however when i try to import the bookmarks it says invalid file...any ideas?

    Are you going to Bookmarks - Manage Bookmarks - file- import then going and then importing the HTML file?

    C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\xxxxxx.default


    you have 3 current bookmarks in this folder
    (bookmarks.html
    bookmarks-1.html
    bookmarks.bak)

    the older backups are kept in the bookmarkbackups folder

    You should be able to open any of these with firefox,if they still wont import you will have to rebuild it the hard way open them with FF and add them to a new bookmark.
