everybody has their own preference as to what they like or dislike. keep trying all 3 for awhile so you can decide for yourself which 1 you are going to use.

FireFox is far more secure than IE but IE is faster than FireFox.

I'm happy with Firefox as of now, but I might try Opera down the road though.

Rather than cut and paste, here is what I said in a previous thread on the subject. It is the 2nd post in that thread. I use Opera and have been for years, using tabbed browsing and mouse gestures way before there was a Firefox browser. The pipelining you mentioned in Firefox is enabled by default in Opera as well, you don't have to go to a config:about page to turn it on.

I use Firefox at work and it's ok but I always choose Opera when I have a choice.

Firefox does have a lot of extensions which is one of it's strengths, but many of them are just mediocre really and many are also already built in to Opera such as mouse gestures.

The other argument I have heard is that Firefox is that it is Open Source. That would be good if you wanted to program something for it then also have to reprogram it every time a new version came out since it wasn't in the main code base. Below is a comment from slashdot about a user in that exact position. He submitted bug reports in CSS to Opera and Firefox, Opera had theirs fixed in the next beta.

i hear about Opera, but Firefox is fine for me. Use Firetune to get a bit better performance, and you'll love it, too :p

Mozilla and Firefox are the best of the browsers out there... I especially like the extensions that can be used to get rid of unwanted garbage from web pages like ADBLOCK and Rip it Permanently....
