What operating system & why. Win 7,8 & 10 have ok firewalls preinstalled. I don't use third party firewalls anymore as there's no need at least for me. Only thing i'd recommend is an antivirus software Avast is free if you can stand the nags lol edit: if you have a NAT router enable the firewall in that as well,check to see if any updates are there for it as well from the manufacturers website

unless your av has a built in firewall that you are probably paying for it is not ok.you would still need a firewall.what os are you using?enable your os firewall.
