Firewire Conapus ADVC 100

    My firewire won't detect my converter conapus advc 100 or it takes 10 min to recognise it.I tried 2 diferent firewire card one is Nec and Texas instrument i use xp home whith compaq presario athelon xp 2400+ it recognize panasonic camcorder imediatly.

    Please help

    As it Says on the Canopus Web site ,Firewire cards that use the Texas Instruments Chipset might Have Compatibility Problems...Are the Firewire Cards you are useing Specificly for DV Transfer or are they just your Regular Firewire Cards??? Generally speaking it is a Good Idea to have a Card that is Made for DV Data Transfer....Cheers
