My PC reads a camera has been turned on, but the camera does not cooperate with Premiere. I have to turn it on and then off and then on again and restart my computer nearly a dozen times to get it to work for capturing and playback.

    What's going on here? Anyone?

Have you tried plugging in your camcorder to another computer?

Sounds like a hardware issue but you'd have to do some trouble-shooting to find out which side it's on.

    What OS are you using?

Windows XP is the OS. The camera(s) seem to be working fine on other computers. It seems really strange, but since all this started after I used my camera on a Mac at my school I'm starting to think something occured in the process.

But I'm sure there's a more logical answer.

    Still looking.

No idea what could be wrong. Plugging it into a Mac shouldn't affect it at all.

Did you load up Windows Explorer to see if your computer detects the camcorder as soon as you plug it in? Or maybe try another capturing program to see if the same thing occurs?
