Firmware/Driver update non existant for my drive?

    Hi everybody,

    I have a MATSHITA DVD-RAM UJ-850S in my ACER Aspire 5100 laptop. Today, I bought some Verbatim DVD-R discs, however for some reason my laptop cannot reckonize them. I searched Google and I searched the forums here. Can anyone possibly help me find the drivers I need?

    In your searches you probably found out how terrible the Matshita drives are too. I'd get a nice external drive as a replacement as I can't find firmware for the drive either.
