I purcahsed a LiteOn LVW5005A ((serial no. 0102 1840 0101 G2BD (100-010D) )). The question I have is it possible to up-grade the firmware to give me a 3 hour recording and disable the mircovison? I heard that you can not hack fm 1101. Thanks P.S. I've tried and have not been successful(I am over 80 and things haven't been easy.
If you have firmware 1101 installed, it s most likely that Macrovision can not be disabled. 3hr and region free OK, but you will most likely have to go back to firmware 1098 to defeat MV. There seems to be a difference of opinion if this is possible.
