i have a pioneer dvr 109 burner with firmware version 1.50 and like to update to newest version 1.58...so i have to install version 1.55 then 1.57 then 1.58...or i just install the new version 1.58?
What you must do is follow the manufacturers directions to the tee! Go to their website and read what they suggest before attempting a firmware update, since it can have catastrophic effects if done in error.
Most burner manufacturer's firmware contains the fixes for all previous firmware versions for a particular burner. I would think that you could go from version 1.5 to version 1.58, without installing the others, first. But, as ScubaBud says, go to the manufacturer's site, and follow their directions to the tee.
...then even ddp won't be able to fix it.... but to be serious, as the others have said, firmware is something to treat with great respect, and you only ever need the latest as the updates are cumulative
