lol FP! no seriously... this is my first time asking for help here... I've got my nero log ready... I'm posting here in CD-R(W) Media because in my research into this error someone commented that it was probably the disk... So i've got the disk info here too: Nero InfoTool doesn't have much info on this disk... making me more suspicous. All I can get is the manufacture code and the blank capacity [bold] ===================================== Media:[/bold][EDIT]disk 'brand' is fujifilm), silver, 'Made In Taiwan' next to cdr logo)[bold] ===================================== Blank Capacity: 79:59.72 Manufacturer ID: Prodisk(97m32s19f) ===================================== ===================================== LOGFILE: Windows XP 5.1 IA32 WinAspi: File 'Wnaspi32.dll': Ver=4.60 (1021), size=45056 bytes, created 9/10/1999 12:06:00 PM ahead WinASPI: File 'C:\Program Files\AHEAD\nero\Wnaspi32.dll': Ver=2.0.1.74, size=164112 bytes, created 10/26/2004 5:35:34 PM Nero version: 6.6.0.3 Recorder: <TSSTcorp CDW/DVD TS-H492A>Version: TB01 - HA 0 TA 0 - 6.6.0.3 Adapter driver: <atapi> HA 0 Drive buffer : 2048kB Bus Type : default (0) -> ATAPI, detected: ATAPI CD-ROM: <TSSTcorp CDW/DVD TS-H492A>Version: TB01 - HA 0 TA 0 - 6.6.0.3 Adapter driver: <atapi> HA 0 === Scsi-Device-Map === CdRomPeripheral : TSSTcorp CDW/DVD TS-H492A atapi Port 0 ID 0 DMA: On DiskPeripheral : Maxtor 6Y250P0 atapi Port 0 ID 1 DMA: On DiskPeripheral : Maxtor 6Y250P0 atapi Port 3 ID 0 DMA: On DiskPeripheral : WDC WD2500JB-34EVA0 atapi Port 3 ID 1 DMA: On DiskPeripheral : WDC WD2500JB-00FUA0 15.0 ultra Port 4 ID 0 DMA: Off DiskPeripheral : WDC WD2500JB-00FUA0 15.0 ultra Port 4 ID 2 DMA: Off === CDRom-Device-Map === TSSTcorp CDW/DVD TS-H492 D: CDRom0 ======================= AutoRun : 1 Excluded drive IDs: WriteBufferSize: 83886080 (0) Byte ShowDrvBufStat : 0 BUFE : 0 Physical memory : 1023MB (1048044kB) Free physical memory: 654MB (669948kB) Memory in use : 36 % Uncached PFiles: 0x0 Use Inquiry : 1 Global Bus Type: default (0) Check supported media : Disabled (0) 2.1.2005 CD-ROM (ISO) 11:55:42 PM #1 Text 0 File Isodoc.cpp, Line 6168 Iso document burn settings ------------------------------------------ Determine maximum speed : TRUE Simulate : FALSE Write : TRUE Finalize CD : TRUE Multisession : FALSE Burning mode : TAO Mode : 1 ISO Level : 1 (Max. of 11 = 8 + 3 char) Character set : ISO 9660 Joliet : TRUE Allow pathdepth more than 8 directories : TRUE Allow more than 255 characters in path : TRUE Write ISO9660 ;1 file extensions : TRUE 11:55:42 PM #2 Text 0 File Burncd.cpp, Line 2866 TSSTcorp CDW/DVD TS-H492A Super Link activated 11:55:42 PM #3 Text 0 File Reader.cpp, Line 127 Reader running 11:55:42 PM #4 Text 0 File Writer.cpp, Line 122 Writer TSSTcorp CDW/DVD TS-H492A running 11:55:42 PM #5 ISO9660GEN -11 File geniso.cpp, Line 3286 First writeable address = 0 (0x00000000) 11:55:42 PM #6 Text 0 File Burncd.cpp, Line 3151 Turn on Track-at-once, using CD-R/RW media 11:55:42 PM #7 Text 0 File DlgWaitCD.cpp, Line 256 Last possible write address on media: 359846 ( 79:59.71) Last address to be written: 359006 ( 79:48.56) 11:55:42 PM #8 Text 0 File DlgWaitCD.cpp, Line 268 Write in overburning mode: NO (enabled: CD) 11:55:42 PM #9 Text 0 File DlgWaitCD.cpp, Line 2309 Recorder: TSSTcorp CDW/DVD TS-H492A; CDR code: 00 97 32 19; OSJ entry from: Prodisc Technology Inc. Follow up question: The disk involved is a Prodisc. Aren't they supposed to be a highly reliable manufacturer? refference: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/12824
The thread you've linked is over two years old? It may have paid you to get more recent info? I've never used Prodisc the only CDs' I burn are Traxdata and Ridata, both Riteck brands gringle.
