well anyways i am am very new at this and wanted to ask whats a good no-solderless chip for the xbox...heh like i said no hassels.....really don't wanna solder...i was recomended the Xecuter2.2 LITE...but it hink you have to buy an Xecuter2.x Solderless Adapter as well....so about a total of like $50.....and the fact that it's pre-flas#ed helps allot...
does anyone recomends chaging the hdd to an "Maxtor 120/140 GB HDD eighter 5400 or 7200 RPM"...
which "OS" is highley recomemded for the xbox?....i was watching an segment in techtv.com about moding the xbox and they recomended the Evolution X...

X2 chips are good chips but first you should figure out what version your Xbox is before buying a chip. Some chips don't work with all version XBox's.
For a dashboard, EvolutionX seems to be the easiest to use and set up.
Maxtor harddrives are also a good choice.

Also about the chips being preflashed, they come flashed with a Linux Bios so that you can reflash it after it's installed using a disc. The Linux bios is only good for running Linux on your Xbox. You will need an Evox or X2 bios for anything else.
