    Hi! that Forum Rocks :D
I used Sony DVD architech and when i import my mpg2 files, they automaticly go full size, outside the action safe area. I cant resize the movie to fit the action safe area :S

I burned a dvd that way and i cant see the subtitles because they are too low on my tv (outside the screen)
I tried to scale the movie to fit but i can't...

    What should i do?

    Hey!
    I just found a way :D
    I rencoded :p
I encoded in tempeg Xpress adn in the filter options i set center (keep aspect Ratio) or something like that.
It makes it 640x480 or something like that.
Im not sure about the resolution but it makes a black around the movie and when importing it in dvd architect, it fits perfectly the action safe area (The largest one)
I burned it and the size is perfect, you see everything and you dont see the black frame.
    Hope this'll help!

well, sorry for "my something like that" message! :p
In tmpegXpress the filter is Center and you must check Keep aspect Ratio
    Thats it

Thanx for the reply, but was just curious about the time that how much time does it takes to re-encode it in tmpeg xpress.

    Hiyo!
Well it takes me 1 hour to encode 20 minutes of divx.
    I encode with
    -2900Kbs bitrate
    -resize with center keepaspect ratio
    -color correction
    -10 bits
    -3:2 pulldown
    -High Motion search(very slow)
    My cpu is p4 2.2g 514 ram

    i dunno vegas :S
    and fromm all encoders (tmpegplus,mainconcept,cce,canopus)
TmpegXpress gave me the best results in reasonnable time!
Nice quality, sharper than plus and mainconcept.
Didnt used cce alot but enough so it got me pissed :p
Didnt found "select range" option in mainconcept and it gave me blured results.
Im not a pro but i think tempegXpress gives very good results for encoding divx to mpeg2
