hi. i have some plain frames (no ActionScript) FLASH movies and i have transformed them to AVI and then to MPEG's (352x288) using TMPGEnc. The problem is that Pinnacle Studio cannot import them and whevener it does (5% of attempts) the animation plays only halfway through.

    Any insights??

Does the Mpeg file Play fine before trying to load it into Pinnacle Studio?? What is the Purpose of loading it into Pinnacle Studio??? If you want to Edit the File and then Maybe Burn it to VCD then you should not use Pinnacle because it will Re-encode the File before Burning it to VCD which will greatly reduce the Quality of the File...If you want to do simple Cutting and Pasteing then you can use Tmpgenc"s "Merge & Cut" editor to do this, and if you are Just trying to Burn it directly to VCD then you can do this with any Good VCD Burning program Like even Nero or VCDEasy would work.....Cheers

i just wanted to add it to the timeline for editing's and continuity's sake...nevermind...

i did what you said and it works like a charm. the mpeg plays outside Pinnacle Studio, i guess it's one of the bugs of Studio. i also edited a bit with premiere and importing the Mpeg's (+ the flash animation) works fine.

it seems you are the soul of this forum...thanx for your indispensable advice!
